Gardner Minshew vs NO – The Mustache cannot be tamed and we’re riding this thing into the sunset until further notice. Beowulf is averaging 19.5 FPPG and New Orleans is giving up 23.7 FPPG to opposing Quarterbacks, which is 3rd worst in the league.
Kyle Allen @ TB – Allen has cooled since his hot start against Arizona, but he gets a a nice matchup versus a soft Bucs passing defense that is surrendering 22.2 FPPG to Quarterbacks.
Kirk Cousins vs PHI – You like that?! Kirk went off last week for ~24 fantasy points and fed Thielen who went 7/8 for 130 yards and 2 scores. He gets the Philly secondary this week who are surrendering 17.7 FPPG to QBs, but are stout against the run. Look for Diggs and Thielen to do some damage in this game.
Kyler Murray vs ATL – The Falcons are giving up 24.1 FPPG to opposing QBs, which is the second worst in the league. Murray has been terrific thru 5 weeks and provides a nice floor with his rushing ability. Watson & Fuller just torched the Falcons so fire up Murray & Fitzgerald with confidence.
Matt Ryan @ ARI – Matty Ice has actually been nuts this year. He’s averaging 26.1 FPPG and is in a sexy shootout this week, sporting a 51 point O/U, with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. The Cards are surrendering 23.2 FPPG to QBs.
*Long shots of the Week – Josh Rosen vs WAS
Mark Ingram vs CIN – What is there to be said about the Cincinnati Bengals? Well, they give up 30.6 FPPG to Running Backs, which is second only to the Dolphins. Fire up your Ravens this week.
Aaron Jones vs DET – Is Aaron Jones finally #FREE? It sure looked that way last week after he went OFF on the Boys in AT&T Stadium for 52 Fantasy Points. The Lions concede 23.9 FPPG to RBs and Jamaal Williams remains in the concussion protocol.
Derrick Henry @ DEN – El Tractorcito is heading to the Mile High City to plow the Broncos who are giving up 22.5 FPPG to backs. The Titans’ offense flows through Henry and this is clearly his backfield. He’s got 5 touchdowns in as many games, so continue to ride him.
Kerryon Johnson @ GB – Coming off a bye, look for a fresh Kerryon Johnson to exploit the Packers funnel run defense, who’s giving up 25.4 FPPG to the position.
Adrian Peterson @ MIA – If there is ever a game to fire up AD, it is this Sunday in the Prime Time Game of the Week ™️ as the Washington Redskins travel down to South Beach, fresh off firing their HC Jay Gruden to take on the 0-4 Miami Dolphins. Interim HC Bill Callahan wants to run, run, run and Miami is giving up 32 FPPG to Running Backs, the worst mark in the league. Tank Wars is really heating up because one of these teams will get their first W on Sunday.
*Long shot of the week – Tevin Coleman @ LAR, Kenyan Drake vs WAS, Duke Johnson @ KC
Calvin Ridley @ ARI – The Cards are giving up 22.9 FPPG to WRs and he’s coming off a nice performance against HOU last week. I expect him, Julio, and Hoop to have big days in this shootout. Start him safely with lots of upside.
Larry Fitzgerald vs ATL – Fitz didn’t erupt last week vs Cincy, but still caught 6/8 balls for 58 yards, which is a respectable PPR stat line. With Kirk still banged up, look for Larry to have a big day in the shootout with the Falcons, who are giving up the league worst 31.3 FPPG to opposing Wide Receivers.
Josh Gordon vs NYG – Gordon draws the Q tag heading into Thursday night alongside Julian Edelman, but both are expected to suit up. This should be a rout in Foxborough, as Danny Dimes and the Giants are without literally all of their offensive play makers (Engram, Barkley, Shepard, Gallman). Flash has yet to have that nuclear breakout game we know he’s capable of, but this seems like as good a spot as any vs a weak NYG secondary allowing 31 FPPG to WRs.
DJ Moore / Curtis Samuel @ TB – Fire up both of the boys against Tampa Bay’s secondary who continues to make the likes of Daniel Jones, Teddy Bridgewater and Mitch Trubisky look great. TB has been stout against the run, but give up 29.5 FPPG to Wide Receivers.
Tyreek Hill vs HOU – If the Cheetah returns this week, it’s time to finally let him loose. Mahomes has certainly missed his WR1 after having to play WRBC (Wide Receiver By Committee). Always the highest total of the slate, at 55.5 O/U, this should be a great game to watch as two of the leagues best young QBs slug it out. Grab any exposure you can to this game.
*Long shots of the week – Dede Westbrook vs NO, KeeSean Johnson vs ATL, Albert Wilson vs WAS
Greg Olsen @ TB – The Bucs are giving up 12.5 FPPG to the Tight End position, which is second worst in the league, just behind the Cardinals. Fire up Old Man Olsen this week.
Will Dissly @ CLE – Dissly has entered the must start category until further notice. The Browns allow 9.8 FPPG to TEs.
Austin Hooper @ ARI – F L O W C H A R T. Seriously, if a Tight End is playing the Cardinals, you put them in your lineup. They’re giving up a whopping 16.4 FPPG and Hooper has been a monster this year.
*Long shot of the week – Jason Witten @ NYJ, Ricky Seals-Jones vs SEA
Patriots vs Giants – No brainer.
Chargers vs Steelers – At home vs. 3rd string rookie UDFA QB making his first start.
Cowboys @ Jets – The NYJ finally get their franchise QB back from mononucleosis and are at home against the Boys, but they’re still surrendering 18 FPPG to opposing defenses. After the Aaron’s of Green Bay smacked the Boys around last week, look for them to rebound.
Seahawks @ Browns – The Cleveland Browns are still the dumpster fire we’ve come to know and loathe over the years. They are allowing 11 FPPG to opposing defenses. Baker is turning the ball over like a mad man and the offensive line can’t stop anyone.
*Long shot of the week – Redskins @ Dolphins
Joe Flacco @ TEN – Mr. Elite had a tough time last outing against the Chargers, but the Broncos finally got their first win of the season. I expect his matchup against the Titans to have more field goals than touchdowns with both defenses proving to be legit. Sit Joe against the 9th ranked Titan’s D.
Daniel Jones @ NE – Danny Dimes is being sent to New England to die this week. With no Saquon, Shepard, or Engram, Jones is going to have a tough time moving the chains against the number one ranked defense in the league.
Carson Wentz @ MIN – Wentz is going against the 4th ranked defense this week in Minnesota. I can see this being a low scoring game for Wentz as he faces the Vikings defense that’s allowing just 15.1 FPPG to QB’s this season.
Baker Mayfield vs SEA – Mayfield meet Bench, Bench meet Mayfield. As long as Kitchens is calling the plays, Baker is just not who we drafted him to be.
Dak Prescott @ NYJ – Though Dak didn’t play well last week, he still scored a good amount of fantasy points. If possible, I’d sit Dak this week against the Jets defense allowing just 16.4 points to QB’s this season that also held Wentz to just 12 points last week.
Jared Goff vs SF – The Rams offense has been figured out. They still have the star power to keep scoring, but sit Goff against the 2nd ranked defense that made a fool out of Mayfield on Monday Night Football.
Joe Mixon @ BAL – Baltimore is currently ranked as the 10th best rush defense in the league. Add that the Bengals will most likely have to throw to keep up with the Ravens, and you start to question how Mixon will be able to perform this week.
Miles Sanders @ MIN – Jordan Howard now has two weeks in a row where he takes more carries than Sanders. I’d sit Sanders against a defense allowing just 13.3 fantasy points per game to RB’s.
Todd Gurley vs SF – Todd goes against an insanely tough 49er’s defense this week that managed to keep Chubb to just 87 yards last week. He also missed Wednesday’s practice, raising some concerns about his health and availability.
LeSean McCoy vs HOU – Shady was non-existent last week in Damien Williams’s first game back. This game is most likely going to be a shootout, so, expect McCoy to stay on the sidelines more often in favor of a healthy Damien Williams.
Kenny Golladay @ GB – Jaire Alexander has been a shutdown corner this season apart from last week’s matchup against Amari Cooper. I wouldn’t expect a lot of points coming from Gollatron this week at Lambeau Field.
Robert Woods vs SF – Though Cooks is questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Niners, I wouldn’t want to start any Rams player not named Cooper Kupp. The 49ers have a scary defense that’s ranked 3rd in the league.
Alshon Jeffrey @ MIN – Rhodes are closed this week for Alshon. He will probably be shadowed by Xavier Rhodes and that’s enough for me to want to stay away from the 29 year old receiver.
Juju Smith-Schuster @ LAC – Juju will most likely be playing alongside Devlin Hodges at quarterback this week. He might get showered with targets leading to a productive day, but I wouldn’t feel good about it given the lack of production this year.
Courtland Sutton vs TEN – Sutton has been on fire this season, but he’ll probably cool down this week against the Titans in a probable low scoring affair.
Golden Tate @ NE – Don’t start any Giants this week. It doesn’t matter if he’s the only option they have, Bill Belichick will shut that one option down.
OJ Howard vs CAR – Sorry to anyone who drafted OJ, he’s got no part of this offense. He got as many receptions last week in New Orleans as he did watching the Rays game this Tuesday.
Gerald Everett vs SF – Everett has gotten a lot of looks these past two weeks, but I wouldn’t feel good about starting him against the Niners defense that’s allowing just 3.2 points per game to TE’s this year.
Jared Cook vs TB – Cook finally scored a TD last week against the Bucs in a game where Teddy Checkdown got 314 yards. I don’t think that kind of game is common for Bridgewater and doubt Cook will be a strong play this week.
Tyler Eifert vs BAL – If this man couldn’t produce against the Cardinals, he can’t produce against anyone. Do yourselves a favor and drop him if you have him on your team.
Buccaneers vs Panthers – The Bucs will be playing a home game in London this week. If CMC is healthy, you’ve got to sit the Bucs in a potential shoot out across the pond.
Browns vs Seahawks – Russell Wilson is in MVP mode. Sit the
Clowns Browns this week when the Seahawks come to town.
Lions @ Packers – The Packers look really strong right now. I’m thinking prime time Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field will be tough to stop.
